Condition Treated: Back Pain

Experience:

I heard about AktivHealth from one of my German friends. As I was suffering from low back pain, I visited the center for the first time in February 2014. The rehabilitation process at AktivHealth is very different and professional. The physiotherapists, as well as other staff, know how to deal with the patients. Therapists have good knowledge of the subject and the quality and care are outstanding.

My condition improved slowly but it was good progress. I can say without an iota of doubt that the western approach of AktivHealth is very different from what is followed by other facilities here.

It is a place of good advice and a very professional approach. The machines are one-of-a-kind and the staff is very caring and helpful.

Condition Treated: Ankle Sprain

Experience:

In November 2013, I visited AktivHealth to consult Dr.Gerd Mueller for my ankle injury. As my husband was being treated at the same center and had achieved fantastic results, it was a natural choice for me. This was the first time I had been anywhere for prolonged treatment. During my rehabilitation at AktivHealth, I discovered a list of related problems like improper balance and low stamina. My physiotherapist, Mr. Akshay Arora worked all of this into my program. This is something that I might never have specifically worked on simply as I was not aware of these problems. Since dancing is a big part of my work, AktivHealth’s rehabilitation program has worked really well for me.

I personally feel quality and care at AktivHealth are par excellence. From my first consultation with Dr. Mueller and the quick diagnosis to the way the treatment was prescribed and executed, I knew and could feel I was in great hands. What’s really amazing is that my levels of energy are now much higher, thanks to my physiotherapist for constantly edging me on to do that little extra! Since I am a dancer, aches and pains are a regular part of my life but due to Dr. Akshay, who goes to the root of a problem, it immediately gets treated. So, it’s not just one particular problem that I’m being treated, for now, it’s more a complete workout that combines strength, flexibility, and stamina and it’s doing me a world of good.

I’m generally feeling healthier, having also lost the extra weight that I put on due to lack of movement with my injured ankle. It’s hard for me to describe in words my experience with AktivHealth; it’s like I have a new lease of life and I’m a complete addict to the Aktiv way!

Condition Treated: Brainstem stroke

Experience:

I suffered two strokes and felt helpless; I turned to AktivHealth. My condition improved considerably within 2 months – thanks to an efficient team of Physiotherapists and expert guidance provided by Dr. Mueller. I now drive independently and experience improved stability in my walking.

I came to know about AktivHealth through a patient who was undergoing treatment at this centre. He strongly recommended guidance from Dr. Gerd Mueller.

In February 2012, I had two strokes diagnosed as bilateral pontine infarct, also known as brainstem stroke. Before coming to AktivHealth, I had been treated at several medical centres and they all contributed to my progress, but they were stopping at a particular point of my recovery.

On 23rd August 2013, I made my first visit to AktivHealth and was pleased to see that everything was very professional. Then, I realised why the centre handles each client with a prior appointment. They respect and value time.

I got a feeling of a highly “customised treatment”. Dr. Mueller gave me new hope and I could see after two months of coming to AktivHealth that I have improved much, started driving a car independently and confidently and achieved a better balance with my walking as well.

AktivHealth has a very efficient team of physiotherapists and advanced equipment to take care of your individual needs and above all, the leadership of a great German medical doctor Dr. Mueller, Physiotherapist Pooja Bajaj and  Abhishek Kumar should be given huge credit for my recovery and I must thank God almighty.

I could claim that I felt a recovery of 6/10 in my initial 18 months following the stroke. Now, I give it 8/10, a big change in only two months’ time! AktivHealth is a place where every single aspect of your body’s need is assessed and followed by a meticulous treatment schedule. I must say AktivHealth’s therapists are well-trained and they first explain what they are going to do so that there is no scope for surprises.

Condition Treated: Postural Cervical

Experience:

I had heard about AktivHealth from my school friend, Dr. Sanjay Manchanda, at Gangaram Hospital, in New Delhi. I was diagnosed with postural cervical syndrome and thoracic hypo-mobility. Working on a computer for long hours only made it worse. Prior to visiting AktivHealth, I had undergone several fitness programs over a course of 9 months at other centers. In September 2013, I made my first visit to AktivHealth with severe pain and swelling on the right side of my neck, which got compounded with painful knots in my shoulders. I would wake up every morning with pain and stiffness. I couldn’t cope with the daily 10-hour computer work schedule anymore.

I was a bit skeptical when I started out here but very soon this skepticism was replaced by satisfaction.

Here’s what I found different about AktivHealth:

Precision! That’s what I have experienced at AktivHealth. To treat well, a doctor must need to diagnose accurately and that’s what Dr. Mueller did. He had diagnosed with precision and his team took it through with the same precision. They actually aim at getting you better and not coming back to them. Initially, I was going to AktivHealth thrice a week which didn’t seem enough but now, I visit them twice aiming to take it down to once a week quite soon. I resumed my golf lessons last month. Though I haven’t attained a perfect fitness level, I know I am almost there.

To conclude, it’s German precision! I have to say from the diagnosis to the treatment to follow-up to the selection of the therapist–it all makes one great journey and feeling good is like an addiction at AktivHealth.

Condition Treated:  Coccydynia & Muscle Pain

Experience:

My friend told me about AktivHealth. In August 2013, I made my first visit to the center with acute lower back and shoulder pain. I was suffering from Coccydynia (tailbone pain) and impingement at shoulder joint; my back and shoulder muscles were weak.

Earlier, I visited a couple of centers where there was less emphasis on exercise and rebuilding, only passive therapy was given.

At AktivHealth, I experienced quite the opposite. Itis the quality of their manual techniques that has relieved my pain. The variety of exercises and their highly equipped space were something I had never experienced before. Here, passive therapies were given only when needed.

I have received very focused and diligent care at AktivHealth. My physiotherapist, Ms. Nidhi Arora, has an empathetic attitude towards her patients. She is very sincere and patient-oriented.

I am certainly feeling better. The pain in my lower back and limbs has reduced and my pseudo-sciatic ache, which limited my movement, is almost gone. My muscles feel stronger now.

Their approach makes AktivHealth a very focused institution. Once a time has been allotted and a patient has arrived, there are no delays – straight to the work. The physiotherapist also takes detailed feedback from the patient about their experience as well as various other inputs. No shortcuts are taken– care and correct treatment are key.

AktivHealth has given me hope and I am keen to get better by working hard.

Condition Treated: Posture Problem & Chronic Pain

Experience:

In December 2012, I was suffering from spinal malfunction, muscle spasms, acute pain in and around L1-L5, S1, along with severe immobility in the lumbar region. During one of my various visits to doctors/hospitals, I got a referral to AktivHealth and I joined at the end of January 2013.
