Gout

Gout is a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, specially the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalk stones, and episodes of acute pain.

How MB can help

People who have gout should reduce the consumption of foods that are high in purines- red meat, seafood, fruit juices, sugar-sweetened drinks, and alcohol. The Metabolic Balance programs give proper suggestions based on one’s blood analysis about the types and amounts of proteins they should consume. The three meal pattern not only ensures proper flushing of toxins but also helps to fulfill the requirement of proteins, suggested at each meal. Adequate water intake also helps to improve kidney function, so that excess uric acid can be flushed out. The program allows one fruit at each meal thus helping in controlling the amount of fructose. The consumption of fruit juices and sweetened drinks is discouraged so that the uric acid levels can be controlled well in time.
