AktivGait™: Golf Swing Analysis

Introducing AktivGait Analysis : Golf Swing Analysis at AktivHealth

AktivHealth, believes in providing the best physiotherapy services to all our patients. Launching this , we plan to benefit all our patients by providing a world-class golf swing analysis facility at AktivHealth.

What is a golf swing analysis?

It is a specialized technique in which we analyse your golf swing to identify the root cause of any pain and injury in your body. By assessing your swing bio-mechanics, we are able to pin-point the muscle imbalances or joint deformities behind the injury.  This helps us design a customised rehab program to correct these physical limitations and minimise the future recurrence of the injury.

The information from a swing analysis also helps us work on your golf performance by improving your shot accuracy, power & consistency.

Who needs a golf analysis?

  • Any golfer with frequent problems like lower back pains, shoulder pains, elbow pain, wrist pain etc.
  • Recreational or professional golfers facing problems like poor shot accuracy (frequent block shots, hooks, slices etc.) and loss of power in shots.

What happens during a golf swing analysis?

MOTION CAPTURE

During golf swing analysis, the patient is asked to swing the golf club while their motion is recorded by high-speed video cameras from different views.o Enhance Running Performance by Understanding Bio-Mechanical faults

ANALYSIS

Our experts then analyze this recorded motion using a golf swing analysis software, GaitON. During this process, we assess the pelvis, hip, knee, foot movement of the patient & pin-point any abnormality in the body motion that is leading to pain or injury.

We are also able to identify bad movement patterns (biomechanical faults) in the swing that lead to mistimed shots, reduce shot power & accuracy.

TREATMENT PLANS

The results of the swing analysis are then correlated with a thorough physical examination and a customized treatment plan is provided to the patient in form of exercises, corrective orthotics etc.
